Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Scouva ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Scouva is operated by Jorge A., DBA Scouva ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

Scouva is a free price intelligence platform that aggregates publicly available used electronics listings from third-party marketplaces (Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, eBay), scores them based on market data, and provides tools to help users identify deals and set price alerts. We do not sell products, facilitate transactions, or guarantee the accuracy of any listing.

3. No Warranties — Listings Are Third-Party Content

All listings displayed on Scouva are sourced from public third-party platforms. We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or legitimacy of any listing
  • The condition, authenticity, or availability of any item
  • The reliability or trustworthiness of any seller
  • That any transaction will be safe, successful, or free from fraud

Always inspect items in person before paying. Meet in a public place. Scouva is not responsible for any loss, harm, or dispute arising from a transaction facilitated through a third-party marketplace.

4. Deal Scores and Price Data

Deal scores and price estimates are provided for informational purposes only. They are calculated algorithmically based on available market data and may not reflect current conditions. Scouva does not guarantee that any item is actually available at the displayed price or that the score accurately reflects the item's value. Do not rely solely on Scouva scores to make purchasing decisions.

5. Price Alerts

By providing your email address to set a price alert, you consent to receive email notifications when matching listings are found. You can cancel alerts at any time at scouva.com/alerts/manage or by emailing hello@scouva.com. We do not guarantee delivery of alert emails or the timeliness of notifications.

6. Community Scam Flagging

Users may flag listings as potentially suspicious. Flags are anonymous and advisory only — they do not remove listings or constitute a formal accusation. Submitting false or malicious flags to harm legitimate sellers is prohibited and may result in your access being blocked. Scouva reserves the right to disregard flags that appear to be abusive.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Scouva
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Submit false information, including fraudulent scam flags
  • Use the Service to harass, harm, or deceive others
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

8. Intellectual Property

The Scouva name, logo, deal scoring methodology, and original content on this platform are owned by Scouva. Listing content remains the property of the originating marketplace and their respective sellers. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit Scouva's original content without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scouva shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to losses from marketplace transactions, reliance on deal scores, or failure to receive alert notifications. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed $100.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

11. Third-Party Links

Scouva links to listings on Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, eBay, and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those sites. Visiting third-party links is at your own risk.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
